Files running as root cannot mount non-mounted drives.

Bug Description

I have an unmounted HFS +(Mac) partition unmounted. This partition can be mounted by clicking it on the sidebar running as a regular (admin) user. When I run Files as root by right clicking on the icon in Plank, it only shows the mounted partitions. The workabout is opening Files running as a regular user and then clicking the partition that I want to mount.

This seems to be common behaviour in some other file manager (PCManFM, THunar, Nautilus). It is considered undesirable for root to use a graphical file manager to mount partitions (or for anything at all) for security reasons.

Opinion of UX team as to whether it is desirable to allow root to mount partitions with FIles.

Isn't there any way to make it so that root would mount the drives with the permissions of the original user?
