Bug Description
I try to install openstack newton using packstack and the following command:
packstack --allinone --provision-demo=n --os-neutron-
I only have 1 NIC on host (enp1s0f1)
Installation goes through but before it finish I loose connection to host.
I can see the following ifcfg-br-ex content:
ONBOOT=yes
PEERDNS=no
NM_CONTROLLED=no
NOZEROCONF=yes
DEVICE=br-ex
NAME=br-ex
DEVICETYPE=ovs
OVSBOOTPROTO=dhcp
TYPE=OVSBridge
I can add static IP to br-ex and reinstall but instances won't be able to connect to host gateway and beyond
thank you
I haven't been able to reproduce the exact issue with the latest code, but I found a similar situation where, after a reboot, br-ex did not get an IP address. After some tests, I think it is related to using DHCP in br-ex, because it works fine with static IPs.
Could you try running Packstack again on a system with a static IP and see if you can reproduce the disconnections?
