[UI] Compose menu won't display

Bug Description
The compose menu is broken - if you click it it returns an error saying you can't set the inner HTML of an element that doesn't exist, as it tries to fill in the dropdown menus in divs that haven't been rendered yet.
A possible fix to this is to pre-render the menu and only display it when the compose button is actually clicked.
