Bug Description

One of the most basic uses of a video editor is to just trim a part of a clip or to rotate it. This is much harder than it needs to be in openshot.

If there is only one clip imported, then the export format should be the same format as the input clip. This default can of course be changed should the user wish to, but having this default will make openshot much easier for beginners and more practical for at least some intermediate users.

This is similar to, but not a duplicate of 508975. Rotating a clip requires re-encoding. Even though re-encoding may be required, it is still helpful to have the same video format as the input clip.

Yes, please add this feature. Even if I had to right-click the clip and select "Render Settings From Clip", it would be vastly easier than having to look for the height, width, and framerate, then fill all that in and have to calculate the aspect ratio because the video came from some weird device that doesn't use a standard one.

Forget rotating. Here's the most common use case: trimming a clip.

Right now it's super annoying that if I load a 720x408 clip, I have to manually create a profile that matches the input clip, then select that profile from the "All" list, which if full of profiles I have no interest in whatsoever.

To understand better where I'm coming from: I've been using VirtualDub for the past 8 years. VirtualDub makes it very straightforward to load a clip in its native resolution, trim it, add effects etc. and save. No messing with formats - I want to preserve as much quality as possible.

Please, implement this.
