Even thought it might not be applied, I decided to make an update to the patch.
I moved the "Imported image length" option from the General tab to the Timings tab as well.

I attached a second patch called "transition_length.patch2"

Thanks, I've targeted this to v1.5, as we are quite close to the end of 1.4.3.
