Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
It's a pain in the arse to have to click through slides when not viewing a slide show "properly", what with the scrolling around and the squiggly underlines to highlight "spelling errors", and the text box frames, and Click here to add text, etc.
In scenarios where one wants to revise lecture slides, a "View Slide Show (windowed)" would be pretty useful so I could use the rest of my screen.

You can already do this, unless I misunderstand what you want. Just go to Slide Show -> Slide Show Settings and change type from Default to Window. Please let me know if this solves your problem.
Thanks,
