i am not able to connect my openerp to my database

Bug Description
hi,
i have installed openerp on a machine with unix environment and database postgresql on another unix machine
i have changed the required file openerp-server.conf , pg_hba.cong, postgresql.conf ,
After have restarted postgresql
i have checked with pgadminIII and works good
but when am trying to restart openerp it says
Restarting openerp-server: start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 5016: No such process
openerp-server.
can u help me to resolve my issue., '
