It means we need to create a second Karl Ribbeck in the system, doesn't it? With birth/death date? Sounds as if this bug report is coming directly from the author, so...

I wonder if Karl Ribbeck Sr ever wrote anything...

Or, we could modify the birth/death on our existing author record to transform it to Ribbeck Jr.
