Bug Description

[Impact]

Keyboard brightness control not working

[Test Case]

1) Go to [All Settings][Power][Keyboard brightness]

2) Adjust keyboard brightness by sidebar

---

$ cat /sys/class/leds/dell::/kbd_backlight/max_brightness
2

The valid value for my machine is 0, 1, and 2.
The Power.Keyboard.Brightness property should be in percent.

[ Regression potential ]

Check that changing the keyboard backlight level works correctly from the keys as well from the settings slider

Thank you for your bug report, on Xenial the default desktop was Unity and unity-settings-daemon was used instead of gnome-settings-daemon. Do you have oem projects using GNOME instead of Unity? You are sure the component targetted is right?

Changed in gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu):

Thanks, I've uploaded to Xenial (and updated the description to be SRU compliant/have a regression potential section, please include that next time).
Closing the bug for the current serie since it's fixed in more recent Ubuntu versions, a xenial line is going to be added once the SRU team review/accept the upload

description: updated
Changed in gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released
