Bug Description
Let's keep it short:
I've been in touch with some GPM developpers to make sure FN Keys and power management on Nvidia based Vaios is working fine, which it did in lucid, after patching GnomePowerManager and using the nouveau instead of the closed source nvidia driver.
Also the package sony-laptop needed to be installed
Now testing maverick I can't find ANY Sony related package in APT, which caused my test system to loos every FN key, even with the now updated GPM brightness woun't work as expected because the keys are not recognized.
Sony uses a proprietary hardware and NEEDS the extra package, I would be pleasant to get more informations why this has been removed for the .35 kernel series.
