Display too bright at night

Bug Description

when used on the Ubuntu tablet, the clock is too bright and the user cannot dim the display down.

Thanks for the bug report.
Can you please give more details? What colours you have set for foreground and for background?
Also, in the battery indicator, do you have the option 'Adjust brightness automatically' selected?

The colour set for the background was black and the foreground was gray. Nope the battery saving was not set on the first night. However, it was set on the second night which made the brightness reasonable. I didnt even think about the auto brightness option. It may be a good option to add some text on this or to allow the changing from the app.

Thanks for clarification. At the moment apps can't access or change screen brightness. If it'll be possible in the future, I'll add it to the Night Clock. For now I'll add something about it in the store page.

Not too sureally why this has expired. My thoughts at my last comment was that all was sorted and that this could now be closed.
