Bug Description
When multiple network connections are available, Ubuntu will repeatedly attempt to use a particular network connection even if a different network connection has been selected for use.
For example, my laptop has a wired ethernet and wireless g connection available. I will often be in range of a wireless connection that is always on and available, and prefer to use the wireless connection over the wired. If I plug an ethernet cable into my computer, Ubuntu will automatically disconnect from the wireless network and attempt to connect to the wired network -- even after I have selected the wireless network for use and do not want to use the wired network. Ubuntu will repeatedly attempt to use the wired connection at the expense of my perfectly good wireless connection.
I understand that wired connections are generally more stable and preferable to wireless connections, but if I tell my computer to use a particular network connection then I want my computer to use that network connection.
This relates to the fact that network manager has no GUI option to choose the default route. This applies to usb-networking devices that register as ethN but take precidence over wireless networks which may be in fact the desired default route.
I don't know if Network-Manager itself has this setting, and the GUI is just missing it or if it needs to be added.
