This sounds like the behaviour of the Dell Mini 9 ubuntu-customed interface (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TWgeucLxjj0/SbnFkL9ZAeI/AAAAAAAABZ8/1gtSZH2JpKs/s1600-h/lanceur_edition_raccourci.png) and i think it works pretty well indeed
