Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

For a soft link to a small image file, Nautilus will show the thumbnail of the image overlaid by a giant arrow indicating that it's a softlink. This makes it next to impossible to see the actual thumbnail. (See attached screenshot.)

I'm sorry, I dind't mean about that image.
I need the small image you use to create the symbolic link.
So I can create a symbolic link here and check if the arrow that nautilus draw cover the thumbnail of the original image. (is that your problem?)

I'm afraid I do not know where that image might be. I didn't change any
settings, so it must be the theme's stock one for a symlink.

Hi
I confirm the bug.
If the image is really small or something with a lot of transparency, then the arroy that nautilus draws to identify symbolic links might cover the image.

How to reproduce (I'm on Quantal):

This results in an arrow as big as the icon:
$ ln -s /usr/share/icons/Humanity/apps/32/bash.svg .
$ nautilus .

This results in no arrow at all:
$ ln -s /usr/share/icons/Humanity/apps/16/bash.svg .
$ nautilus .
