Bug Description
I was upgrading and initially had a problem with mysql-server-5.7 stopping the upgrade because I had mariadb-server installed. So i installed mariadb-server which allowed "sudo apt-get -f install" to finish. Now when I boot it doesn't fully boot. I'm left with a blank screen and I have to manually trigger startx which I get a black screen with some pop-up errors. one of them says "All shell packages missing. This is an installation issue, please contact your distribution".
