Bug Description
The Music application on my Ubuntu phone forgets the contents of playlists each time the application is closed. The playlist name is still there, but there aren't any songs in it. So when I re-open the application or when I power the phone up, I can see the list but it shows 0 songs. This is very annoying - I have twice spent quite some time adding songs only to see them disappeared when I return to the Music application. I have tried to solve it myself, i.e. trying to 'save' the playlist to the SD card but that does not seem to be an option. What causes this ? Is this a bug? The funny thing is, this does not seem to have happened before. I could turn off the phone, power it up again and it would remember everything correctly, up to the point which song was playing (albeit it would not continue the song at the time it paused playing).
Hi Broekmans, thanks for your question! Do you remove the SD card and launch the Music app at any point in this process? When the app detects that the tracks have been removed from the device it then also removes them from the playlist. We've discussed this before internally, and perhaps it'd be better if the temporarily missing tracks were hidden rather than deleted.
Could you file a bug for this please so we can track this?
Thanks!
Victor
