Bug Description

Please add a button to drill up directories. It's a very convenient feature.

Say that you're viewing an FTP tree and you're currently at:

ftp://ftp.someserver.org/foo/bar

By drilling up I mean a button that would take you to the parent directory:

ftp://ftp.someserver.org/foo

I know that this may seem trivial, but it's great to have one place to go to navigate higher in the tree instead of searching the current page for a link to so it. But this should be enabled only when it's in a context that calls for it - ftp, local file directories, or apache directory listings.

It can be useful anywhere, I frequently use the firefox addon "uppity" on my other systems on regular webpages, sometimes when I have a 404 or 403 error on specific pages, or when I notice a tree-like structure like here on launchpad. So I think a context-sensitive option would be detrimental to my use.

Any takers welcome to give this a go. The main task here is to collect cases where this works and where it doesn't and unit test it. And then find a way to integrate it by default that doesn't occupy permanent space.
