Markdown not including line breaks

Bug Description
At times when hitting markdown certain lines don't show with the line break. On the recent HB readme this happened with "about" today:

Alrighty. In Markdown syntax, a line break must either have two full carriage returns or the line must have two blank spaces then one carriage return.
