Bug Description
The existing rpm-derived package format in LSB is seriously out of date, and
its inclusion as a mandatory component is beginning to cause problems in that
packaging software cannot move forward, or else is moving forward incompatibly
and simply ignoring that the implementation is no longer particularly
compatible.
LSB packaging should either be completley updated, or deprecated, with waivers
allowed for non-conformance. Given the dearth of LSB conforming rpm-packaged
applications it probably would not hurt for packaging in general to be
"unspecified".
