Bug Description
I am using Xubuntu 9.04 and Mail-Notification version 5.4. When I start the program, it's not visible in the system tray -- there is no blank space where the icon should be, it's simply not there. When I receive mail, the icon appears in the tray -- once I have read my mail, it disappears again. I did use the workaround previously mentioned -- I used gconf-editor and changed the setting so that the icon should always appear. This made no difference. Other programs (that I believe were designed for gnome) are currently using my system tray and they show without any problem. This incident seems to be isolated to the Mail-Notification program alone. If any further information is needed to help get this bug corrected, please let me know.
