Bug Description
When bonds are defined, there is no feedback that they actually work.
Maas is in an unique position to test this, either by making sure that once the first node in a network is launched it is used as a 'reference' to e.g. ping from other hosts having the same network, or by making it a requirement that maas has a leg in every network. That leg does not have to be high speed, just accessibility so that it can be used for testing.
We do run into issues with network bond's not working and as sometimes multiple parties are involved it would be great to be able to have more confidence about the configuration(s).
Combined with this, it would be great if we can get feedback on link status in the ui. While it is static, it will help to identify e.g. network cards not connected properly during commissioning phase.
