Bug Description
When gnome (ubuntu-desktop) or xfce (xubuntu-desktop) are installed the OS loads, but the user interface never fully loads on N810. The user is left with a blue screen with a cursor and no panels.

Also, if gdm is not told to autologin to a session, then gdm fails to load and the splash stalls just past 3/4 of the screen. So, essentially, it's impossible to select between a hildon desktop and an alternative such as gnome from gdm. The only way to get into hildon is from auto-startx.
