Compiz randomly causes crashes, this seems to happen more often with non-default settings.
Exact situation: When preforming actions, Compiz may randomly hang, it will use 100%+ cpu and not respond. It no longer issues draws to the monitor. The problem can only be fixed using a tty or restarting the X server.
The problem is common, and annoying. I would downgrade to the stable version of Compiz.
