Bug Description

1) I'm using Linux Mint MATE 18.2 64-bit
36~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Aug 9 09:19:02 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

2) I'm using an USB Wi-Fi stick, TP-Link TL-WN821N, firmware v4.2. The hardware is a Realtek RTL8192cu Wi-Fi chipset.
http://www.tp-link.fr/products/details/TL-WN821N.html

3) Wi-Fi is not stable and I lost the connection every time after some minutes.

4) The connection should be stable.

5) The problem happened always.

2 solutions exist : method 1 and method 2 on https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/hercules_hwnup-150
I'm using method 2, it works well.

Could someone add this solution in the next version of Linux Mint ?

There are many others USB Wi-Fi sticks that have the same chipset and the same bug : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/wifi_liste_carte
