KeepassX won't accept Hot-Keys in Mint 18

Bug Description
1) Linux Mint 18 'Sarah' - "Cinnamon 64-bit" - CLEAN INSTALLATION
2)
- Download and install KeepassX from the official repositories.
- Go to Tools -> Settings and try to set any Autotype hot-key.
3) You either won't be able to set it (cause it dissapears) or your choice won't work.
4) It worked flawlessly in Mint 17.x. I used to have Right-Alt + V as my autotype sequence
5) The problem occurs every time
