Fast user switch doesn't work with KDM

Bug Description
After installation of KDM (KDE Display Manager) Fast User Switch functionality (ability to switch user while screen is locked on by screensaver) discontinued to work.
Affected system: Linux Mint 17.3 amd64 with latest updates (on 07.03.2016). Locale is English
Steps to reproduce (on VirtualBox 5.0)
1. Install Mint 17.3 from official CD
2. # apt-get install kdm
3. Select KDM as preferred login manager
4. Reboot
Actual result: Fast User Switch functionality
Expected result: No side effects for fast user switching
# apt-get purge kdm
solves this issue as workaround
Fast User Switch functionality with KDM worked fine for Rebecca 17.1 . I also experienced this issue on my laptop after 17.1->17.3 update .
Please contact me if you're not able to reproduce this issue. I have Virtualbox image where issue persists.
