Bug Description

Hi,

I'm using Linux Mint 17.1, but this bug also occurred in version 17. I can remember it didn't happen in Mint 16, before I upgraded.

To reproduce the bug, I have to play a video that as a large resolution, like 1920x1080. Then I use the bar at the bottom of the player to choose where I want to skip in the video.

Most of the time, the sound stops playing. I can't hear anything. I have to click on the bar to reach other places in the video that are near the part I want to play, but I can rarely get the sound to come back. When it happens, VLC is still decoding audio as it can be seen in its 'Statistics' tab.

I expect the sound to work. It worked fine in Linux Mint 16.

The problem always happen with videos that have a large resolution. It happens less frequently with videos that are 720p. I have some 1080p videos and the bug always happen with them.

Best regards,
Alexandre-Xavier Lamoureux
