'FATAL: assertion failed' when closing lingo

Bug Description
When I close lingo I get the following fatal error:
pim@chaos ~ $ lingo
[INFO 09:18:37.846943] [Application:74] Lingo version: 0.8
[INFO 09:18:37.847089] [Application:76] Kernel version: 3.3.4-gentoo
Here:
[FATAL 09:18:40.994298] [Gtk] gtk_main_quit: assertion `main_loops != NULL' failed
[FATAL 09:18:40.994376] Lingo will not function properly.
It seems that something is messed up in the quit/close procedure.
