Bug Description

CIFS is required to mount windows shares. The kernel module is not enabled for it !

root@linaro-ubuntu-desktop:~# apt-get install smbfs -y
root@linaro-ubuntu-desktop:~# smbmount //10.13.0.135/dc /dc
Password:
mount error: cifs filesystem not supported by the system
mount error(19): No such device
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CIFS
# CONFIG_CIFS is not set

Which kernel version are you using? Can you paste the output of uname -a?

I'm jyust using the 12.02 image, but the same "problem" has been w/ kernel configs from 11.06 (first linaro version i used)

I am experienceing the same issue

Attempting to mount a Cifs share and I receive the following error
