Selected text not readable on focus lost

Bug Description
After you select text on the right column (main content column), try changing focus to another window. Selected text will be shown as white text on light grey background.
Tested on Lightread 1.1.1 on stock Xubuntu 12.04

I can't seem to reproduce it on Unity, Gnome-Shell, XFCE, LXDE, OS X or Windows. Not sure where the problem lies.
