Bug Description
Support for Gtk+ is option, but is automatically enabled when Gtk+ is detected on the system. This means that Gtk+ support cannot be disabled when it is available on the system. So please add a CMake option DISABLE_GTK (defaulting to false), or something similar, which allows for overriding the autodetection used now.
This allows packagers to build packages without Gtk+ support even though Gtk+ is available on their system.

The linked branch contains the patch I made for CMakeLists.txt to disable Gtk+ auto-detection (use -DDISABLE_GTK=ON) or to force Gtk+ detection (use -DWANT_GTK=ON).
