Translated strings don't get saved

When you have a text field (small, NOT textarea). Then click on the button to expand it (tooltip: makes field larger). And then type your translation, the radio button stays on "(no translation yet)".
Normally the radio button will be selected when you click inside the textarea, but even this doesn't work anymore (after clicking the expand button). So now the translator needs to explicitly click on the bullet/option of the radio. Since we translators are humans, the problem is that this is forgotten easily.
This results in clicking "Save and continue", and your work disappears... I had this a couple of times in the past.

It's a usability issue, but I think (and also heard from others) that this mistake is easily made, because Launchpad behaves differently than expected after clicking the expand button.
