Bug Description
This doesn't seem to be fixed with https:/
Some branches contain quotes around a value in GETTEXT_PACKAGE, such as lp:zeitgeist. Pottery fails with an ugly error message along the lines of:
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '././po/
If configure.ac defines GETTEXT_PACKAGE as
GETTEXT_
we should not fail, but instead strip the quotes.
Single-quotes work there as well, but fail in exactly the same way with pottery.
