Create/follow support requests through a mailing list

Bug Description

Issue: Would like to have support request tickets auto generated by having the user send an email to an email mailing list, which is then sent to gmane, and have gmane send the ticket request to launchpad support system.

Requires: launchpad product support would need to be able to "subscribe" to the gmane mailing list.

Requires: if a response to a support ticket is send to gmane (say an update or resolution) then the launch pad system would create an update to the ticket and would not create a new ticket on the response.

Requires: if a ticket is updated within the launchpad support system and email would be generated with the updated information and sent to the gmane mailing list replication service so that the mailing list would be updated with the current status of the support ticket.

Could be others, but these are my first thoughts.

Although as an after thought I don't NEED to have launchpad use gmane, but I will need to have my product be able to recieve emails from the mailing list, and be able to subscribe the product to the mailing list. If that makes any sense..

Aaron, that makes perfect sense to me. In fact, I'd like to see this working for the Catalan LoCoTeam (still unofficial) mailing list (not on lists.ubuntu.com).

It happens that most users are comfortable with mailing lists (send, reply, etc. very quickly) but registering an account and placing support requests on the web is too much work for them. I'm sure that this feature will help a lot, though it can be a source for problems too, indeed.

Anyway, it's worth a deeper thought.
