Bug Description
It would help translators send stuff upstream if packages could be grouped/searched by upstream source.
Such a grouping already exists: https:/
If one could see all the gnome packages and not be bothered the rest up to 1600 packages unrelated to gnome, he could:
* decide more easily which packages should be sent upstream,
* check whether the translations from upstream are better than the ones in Ubuntu (Rosetta does not replace translations made in LP with newer ones from upstream, it just shows the new ones as suggestions).
Another important grouping would be the "installed-
Instead of the way packages are ordered by Rosetta admins to bump the importance of some packages that are installed on the LiveCD and should be translated, users could find this information from this special group.
Some other kinds of groups would make sense too: installed-
Note that the grouping on https:/ /edge.launchpad .net/gnome is not really related to the grouping in Ubuntu.
We won't have time to work on this for the foreseeable future. If you are interested to lend a hand, we'll be more than happy to guide you on how you can help us. There are several things that need doing: /dev.launchpad. net/)
1. registering all GNOME projects and making them appear on launchpad.net/gnome
2. linking their respective trunk series to Karmic sourcepackages
3. implementing nice pages that get all that data together and display it appropriatelly (note that Launchpad is open source, so you can contribute code as well; start at https:/
