Bug Description

I posted in a bug report on launchpad. The report was added to https://lists.ubuntu.com/ and my e-mail, which is set to "not disclosed" is shown there along with many other people's e-mail addresses, which are presumably not meant to be disclosed either.
The site is indexed by google and all the addresses can now easily be found there.

There's not much we can do regarding hiding email addresses when teams use public mailing lists to archive their bug mail. Even if we hide emails in lists.ubuntu.com, there are tons of other public archivers that also archive lists.ubuntu.com lists.

Changed in launchpad:
status: New → Invalid

There is something you can do - not disclose the email address. It won't be archived if it isn't sent out in emails.

Also, this is a duplicate of a fairly old bug.

Well, that's the point. I have set it to "not disclosed", yet it appears in those archives. This way, the option to not disclose the e-mail is very misleading.

Indeed William, this is a dupe of bug 111147 and Bjorn has a plan on how to fix. Thanks!
