Launchpad breaks my privacy settings

Bug Description

Launchpad gives out my email to anybody subscribed to a bug I comment on, even when I have '[x]Hide my email addresses from other Launchpad users' checked in my user settings.
This option gives me the impression that Launchpad will act as a proxy and hide my email address but does not.

Exactly how/where do you see your address being leaked? On the bug page? In the email? Please be as specific as possible

Sorry, I think I made a mistake. But I meant in the email.

Actually this bug is not at all invalid. There should rather be a discussion going on if it is a reasonable behaviour to display confidential email addresses in the "from" field of the messages that launchpad sends to subscribers. There should be more privacy-oriented ways to make private messages possible.

In the era of junk, spam and phishing, I am clearly against this publishing of email addresses. It's sad, but that's the way it is...

By the way: Changing this behaviour would fix a substantial part of bug # 416915 (However, the currently published email addresses should anyway be removed)
