Bug Description
I searched around trying to find an existing bug for "normalize internal whitespace" on Malone. I could not find anything, even when going to advanced search and selecting all topics.
However, when I finally decided to report a bug, it gave me a link to bug #3002, which is where I ended up posting my comments.
It seems that if Malone is smart enough to do some amount of "fuzzy" matching, there should be a way to get this behavior from a regular search, without having to start the bug reporting process to get it.
