searching on /people by ircname doesn't work

Bug Description

I believe that searching by irc name should work (hence bug 40241 is marked as fixed).

However, I recently searched for "newz2000" and nothing appeared.

This is not a regression. In bug 40241 the vocabularies were fixed, meaning that if you try the Choose... person widget, it'll find by ircname.

Bizarre - I assumed the two searches would use the same system.

This can also make working in a large team (like MOTU) that's primarily IRC based more difficult. New contributors, and sometimes old-timers too, often have a hard time with IRC nick -> LP id conversions.

Any luck fixing this? It would be nice for the searches on /people and the searches in the "Choose..." widget to be the same.

I use this search all the time.
