Bug Description

502s from codebrowse.

cat /var/log/apache2/bazaar.launchpad.net-access.log |grep '" 502' |wc -l
1879

They line up with debug entries like:

ERR [20120625-22:24:05.451] [47837752596224] root: IPREDACTED - - [25/Jun/2012:22:24:04 +0000] "GET URLREDACTED HTTP/1.1" 200 - "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1"

haproxy shows green across the board and is not seeing loggerhead instances as down

This generated a "502 bad Gateway"

we see the error in the apache logs as well.
