Bug Description
User reported multiple computers registering with hostname “ip6-”. Looks like a hostname-
Quick question, I see lots of endpoints named ip6- on Landscape. This hostname comes from the /etc/hosts file, in the ipv6 entry like this:
1 │ 127.0.0.1 PE08Y25J PE08Y25J PE08Y25J localhost
2 │ 127.0.1.1 PE08Y25J
3 │
4 │ # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
5 │ ::1 ip6- PE08Y25J PE08Y25J PE08Y25J localhost ip6-loopback
6 │ fe00::0 ip6-localnet
7 │ ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
8 │ ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
9 │ ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
Is there a way to request the landscape-config script to query the hostname to avoid duplicated entries on Landscape?
