Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdepim
When an IMAP connection breaks or a kio_imap process dies, kmail shows an error dialog. There should be an option to disable this dialog, because the error is generally not important enough to interrupt the user. I'm using Kubuntu 8.10.

Thanks for reporting this. It isn't a bug as such but a request for a new feature, or at least a change in behaviour. That's really something that needs to be addressed upstream by the KDEPIM developers. It may be that it behaves that way for a good reason and that's a decision for KDE not Kubuntu.
The best thing to do would be file this as a wish on bugs.kde.org and link it here so we can track the outcome.
