Bug Description

Upgrade contrail is not upgrading the qemu packages, even though the fab task fished without error

3.03 kilo has the updated qemu 2.3

Release Note:

Contrail 3.0.3 includes a new qemu version (2.3) for Openstack Kilo. When upgrading to 3.0.3 from earlier releases using fab commands, the qemu version is not upgraded. However, a fresh install of Contrail 3.0.3 will install the newer qemu version.

Workround for Kilo:

On each dpdk compute do the below steps to upgrade qemu

cd /opt/contrail/contrail_install_repo
dpkg -i dpdk-depends-packages_14.04-kilo1_amd64.deb

cd /opt/contrail/contrail_packages_dpdk/
./setup.sh
apt-get upgrade qemu-system
apt-get upgrade qemu-system-common
apt-get upgrade qemu-system-ppc

fab upgrade not supported in 4.0 and 4.0, so removing milestones
