Bug Description
If vcenter crashes or network connectivity goes down, vcenter-plugin is left in socket read with a TCP half-open connection.
waitForUpdatesEx() has a timeout value, but it is server side only.
We need to add functionality at the plugin side to set the a timeout on socket, before waitForUpdates is invoked.
