cookie notification covers 'Commit' Button

Bug Description

The cookie legal notification covers the 'Commit' Button on the lower right of the screen. It should probably slide in above it, or maybe be at the top. As it is, it trips up newer users as they are looking for why charms are not deployed and can't see the 'commit' button at the bottom of the screen.

I.E, the legal notification is just hidden enough to not bother them to dismiss it.

Thanks, we've heard this a couple of times and will work with UX on moving it somewhere that meets the legal obligations but works better with the deployer bar.

This is a pretty huge bug, IMO. It leads to a bad/confusing experience for new users. You login to your newly deployed (or demo) juju environment, you add charms to the canvas, but because the cookie notification is blocking the entire lower portion of the screen you don't know that your blocker is hidden underneath.

We're working on the new GUI interface with floating panels and the cookie bar is redesigned. We'll have this updated as part of a bigger chunk of work this cycle.

We're still hitting this often with new users, is there a workaround we can do in the meantime?

You can disable it in the browser with the options UI. Hit the ? when you log in and check "Disable the EU cookie warning."

This is only good for that GUI install though. If the url is different it's a different GUI and will need a recheck.

There's a new design that's being implemented as we speak that moves this off the bar to avoid this.
