Can't click and drag big charm icon to canvas

Thank you. That's as designed…or at least as I expected. :-). I'm
actually surprised you have room in your browser to try and do this.
Is this something you naturally expected to do, or an edge case you
were exploring?

I'm inclined to mark this low priority and see if we get other users
who expect this behavior.

Working as designed here is fine. I just wanted to note it and have the GUI team traige accordingly. This was brought up to my attention by David Cheney while doing some testing. I agree with the prioritization and see if other uses encounter this.
