Nothing happens when you click on an alert in the alert dropdown

Bug Description
If you get an alert, you can see them in the alert dropdown. Nothing happens when you clicking the alert listed on the dropdown. My expectation was that it'd take me to a page describing the alert in more detail

The system is different than it was when this bug was filed, but it still is barely implemented. We have plans for better, but they are currently not prioritized.
