- running Windows XP, Inkscape 0.91+devel r14600 (Jan 17 2016)
Attempting to reproduce the problem reported at:

I get a crash when running the DOS command.
inkscape --file "\windows\temp\exportpath.svg" --select "path3336" --export-plain-svg="\windows\temp\exportplain.svg"
The svg file is attached here.
crash message is:
** Message: Error: Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now.
Emergency save activated!

- not reproduced if I remove the path selection command, as in:
inkscape --file "\windows\temp\exportpath.svg" --export-plain-svg="\windows\temp\exportplain.svg"
- not reproduced on Windows 7, Inkscape 0.91 r13725 (Jan 30 2015)
Crash reproduced with Inskcape 0.91+devel r14615 on OS X 10.7.5
Based on tests with archived builds:
- not reproduced with rev <= 13763,
- reproduced with rev >= 13768;
the crash is likely related to the refactoring merge in rev 13767/13768:
