Bug Description
wish list.
Need command-line option to to open Inkscape Gui with specified template. Pre-defined custome Inkscape & Document preferences would enhance workflow and enable batch-file processing of multiple documents. Have a definite business need for this.

...\Inkscape.exe /template <filepath to any svg file>
Yes. Totally agreed that this should be a feature.
That would make it possible to give an svg-file an .svt extension (same naming scheme as for open document formats - replace last letter with a "T" for Template) and manually (or by tweak program) get explorer (if windows) to open svt files in "temlpate mode".
A template mode would just act like any empty workspace - window name (or whatever correct term is) yelds "New document 1". Well, not neccesary to say as everyone know what a template is used for.
