Bug Description
Although perhaps somewhat difficult to do well*, it could be very handy to have an outline mode where the outlines are colored based on the style of the object itself. This should make it much easier to select and operate on the correct object in complex layouts.
* fill vs. stroke color, probably fill defaulting to a dashed line for unfilled entities or those where the fill matches the (apparent**) background color?
** because Inkscape shows raw document bg color rather than the color overlaid on a "transparency check" pattern.
